what level of play (NTRP) should serve and volley?
i dont know my level or ntrp... i think im 2.5 ntrp. ive been playing a year and a half 3x a week. a recreational player. when im serving im consistently attacking the net then when i receive im a baseline player waiting for a chance to attack the net or a weak ball return.
im playing with a wilson prostaff 6.0 85...
is it ok to serve and volley at this level?
First off thats an awesome racquet you're using. I'm using the new Prostaff...the K prostaff 88. The control is is amazing and the touch/stability on the volleys is awesome.
I am a 4.5 player and I love to serve and volley (easy points)...especially with my serve. I would say that anyone can serve and volley. All you need is a serve that puts your opponent in an uncomfortable position and the ability to put away simple volleys. 
As to what NTRP that falls into...I would say....a 3.5 could do it.
Look I don't think you're a 2.5...because 2-3 NTRP is beginner LOL...and the prostaff is not for beginners. You should go to a local club and get a coach to tell you what your NTRP is.
It is ok if you can do it well consistently. You don't want to play a low percentage game...even if it makes you feel good sometimes.

Wilson clubs - Prostaff, Stretch or X31?
Hi, I'm a starter in golf but improving quite fast. Could anyone advise me which of these sets are the best - Wilson Prostaff, Wilson Stretch or Wilson X31?

In my estimation, all Wilson clubs yield the same results. Even though they look different, the quality is just about the same.
Save your money until your really comfortable with the game and then look around for a set of descent clubs that compliment your game. Since your just starting out, the clubs don't mean that much right now.
Remember....in golf, it usually isn't the arrow, it's the indian.
